I realize that.
No shit, writers of storys are usually inspired to write about the matters of what is currently happening around us, and reflecting them through the villians, it allows them to be real, and truly DECEPTICONS! its not subliminal, its actually quite obvious. Now that “we’re adults” we can make sense of how we truly felt for them as children. And now we can look at it from another perspective, a more informed perspective.

It’s the same guy, butyou gotta think about this. Watch the first episode of any long running series and compare any character from the first episode to how they look, sound, or act in the 50th episode after they’ve gotten their stride, so to speak.

It’s eerie how the subliminal messages are easy to notice now that I am an adult. The Decepticons are the “deceivers” who seek planetary and “universal” dominance by controlling the energy resources. At 5:35 Starscream is told by Megatron that “only a select few ever lead”. Ironically, Starscream seems to have a British accent. At 19:10 they strong arm the oil and Megatron says they must “suck the planet dry” and implies “the universe is mine”. Sound familiar? Hidden in plain sight.
SInce they are doing movies now, I vote for Shockwave and Omega Supreme to be brought to the big screen.

this is why i love the 80′s shows like this, made getting up early worth it, nowadays, saturday mornings have nothing even half as great as the series i loved…
I was 11 years old when this cartoon debuted in 1984. It’s hard to believe that after 25 years, Transformers is still as popular as it ever was. This is arguably the greatest cartoon and toyline in animated history. It was certainly ahead of its time, and has stood the test of time. Even now in my mid-30′s, I’m proud to say that I’m still a fan after all these years.
