Since I’m not into comic books and don’t know much about the original Deadpool, I liked the Ryan Reynolds pick + Weapon 11 was badass.
I’m pretty sure they are doing prior to the Wolverine movie. His background and work as a merc. They definitely aren’t going to do it on Weapon XI because they know no one would go see it. And if they wanted to do it after the events of wolverine they would probably just come out and say they fucked him up and lets just put Weapon XI behind us and pretend we never birthed that sick monster. Obviously not verbatim
Spin off is like the Wolverine movie. Taking one character from a show or movie and creating a show or movie based off the character.

The ideal “real” Deadpool movie would be written by Joe Kelly, Fabien Nicecheese and Ryan Renolds. Directed by Micheal Bey (look up Bey’s Version ad to see that he can indeed pull it off)

Deadpool is awesome, Reynolds looks uncomfortable. He obviously knows they butched him. I’ll never understand when you have something well thought out and recognized by fanbase like comic book storylines, then they get to the big screen and it all gets rewritten.
Hehehe…. he was just politely saying “I read the comic books and loved it, and then the producers fucked up the real Deadpool, but I had already signed so what the heck”
A Deadpool spinoff would be awesome, but it’d be hard to find a way to explain away all those random powers he got… Short of a plot device like saying; ‘That was Weapon XI, not the actual deadpool’.
Besides the retarded powers they gave him, it wouldn’t be that hard, considering Deadpool’s face and body were horribly torn up in the comic too. So, looking forward to that.
