Why They Want You To Stay Fat And How to Beat Them and Lose Weight Quick

If you have a weight problem, you aren’t alone. Fully two thirds of adult Americans share your same condition. Many of us struggle on a daily basis with this very issue.

And it’s not just the fat that’s the problem. It’s all the other junk that comes with it, from high blood pressure, to cholesterol, and all kinds of other life-shortening problems.

Is there a reason for this? Were we always so fat? The simple answer is no. A hundred years ago, even fifty years ago, most people were thin and healthy. So what happened?

In the old days, most people weren’t lucky enough to sit at a desk all day. Work meant physical labor. Eight hours a day, five days a week.

If most of us are lucky, and are blessed with superhuman motivation, we go to the gym once or twice a week. The rest of us get little, if any, exercise.

Another reason, and this is much more difficult to overcome, is that our diet has changed dramatically. Most food people ate before was natural, locally grown, and preservative free.

Contrast that to now, when most everything you can find to eat has been processed, chemically altered, and filled with preservatives. This can’t be good for us.

The biggest difficulty with this is that it can be next to impossible to find something to eat that doesn’t seem like it was developed in a laboratory. And even if you a natural food grocer, it can be too expensive to eat on a regular basis.

Pretty much all the food you can find to eat today, from restaurants, to fast food places, to most supermarket food is filled with things that are simply not healthy to eat, and can cause all kinds of health problems.

It’s no surprise then, why we are becoming a nation of obese people. We are kept at desks, fed unhealthy food, and then shamed for being overweight. It’s not our fault.

When you consider that it can be hard to find the time, and the motivation to exercise, and nearly impossible to find the most healthy food to eat, it becomes clear there is something else going on.

Only when you can discover how to eat the right foods, that are free from preservatives and chemicals, can you quickly lose weight and stop paying your hard earned money to those big companies that want to keep you fat.

    Effective Weight Loss You Should Know

    Most people would want to have that perfect figure. That is why many people are determined to lose that excess weight. Not only does it make you feel and look good, but cutting down the excess fat is also good for your health. Losing weight is not as hard as it seems. It is not a mysterious process either. You just need to understand that it is just a matter of how much calories you are taking in and at the same time, how much of it do you effectively burn. Understanding these basic processes is essential for a healthy and effective weight loss.

    Losing weight is not magic. It is not instant, unless you count surgeries and advance treatments such as liposuction and gastric banding. Though the market offers you instant solutions such as pills, medicines and other commercial products, they most likely are ineffective and would probably cause various unwanted side effects. Losing weight is gradual, the small changes you see everyday is a sign that your body is reacting effectively to your weight loss diets or programs.

    If for example you would want to 1 pound of your weight, it means that you need to take off 3500 calories off your body. You have to burn those extra calories from your activities. Of course, you need not to burn in all in just 1 day. You may do it gradually - step by step but effectively. And how do you that?

    First, you need to know and understand what your basal metabolic rate is. The basal metabolic rate is what you need to normalize the body functions such as digestion and breathing. This is the minimum amount of calories you need to take everyday. Just remember that the calculator is not always 100% accurate. It is important that you are making the necessary adjustments as you progress.

    Second, know your activities, from the food you eat and the physical activities you are doing. You may need a calorie calculator for you to be able to know how much calories you burn while standing, sitting, lifting weights and exercising each day. You can also use a heart rate monitor which calculates how much calories you have burned. This is basically a journal of your daily calorie intake and output.

    For your calorie intake, take note of the food you eat. And I mean in details - the food, its quantity and how much calories it contains. It is not hard to know how much calories you take these days. There are so many websites today that shows calorie count of different kinds of food. In this way, you will be aware how much calories you are feeding in to your body. Is it enough, lacking or in excess?

    Lastly, calculate your basal metabolic rate, add your calorie activity and then deduct the food calories from the total. If you are eating more calories than you are burning, you will probably gain weight, but if you are burning calories more than you eat, then you lose weight.

    Do you need exercise? If yes, how much exercise is needed? Exercise is one of the most important activities in losing weight, but the amount of exercise a person must have, depends on the person’s physical attribute and experience. If you are just a beginner, it is better for you to start small. Exercise 3 days per week for 20 to 40 minutes for your body to have time to adjust. But if you are already used to training and exercise, you can exercise everyday for 1 to 2 hours.

    Joining a gym may have a lot of gains for people who need to concentrate on their fitness. Yet, there are also people who don’t need people see them exercise and feel gym not as effective as it should be.     Advantages of joining a gym:

    Superior quality equipments that you can’t afford are mostly ready in gym. Such equipments include different kinds of dumbbells, barbell, cardio machine, weight lifting machines. and other equipments for your work out. There are also gyms that have pools, basketball courts, and other areas for sporting. These will prevent you from getting bored of doing the same routine everyday. Because of the availability of facilities for several workouts, you can do a lot of work out for your routine.

    In gym, there are available trainers, staffs, and other members that you can consult about your activities. Professional people such as dieticians, gym instructors, physical therapist, yoga instructors, bodybuilders, and aerobic teachers are available in gym. You can consult these people on how to exercise properly, use the equipment correctly, and have a good diet suited to your training.

    Joining a gym is advisable than to have your own gym at home. Equipments for a gym are too pricey that will cost you a bigger deal of money. As long as the gym is not too far from your place or work place, joining here is great.

    Disadvantages of joining a gym:

    The primary disadvantage of joining a gym is the high price. Aside from membership fee, there is also a regular fee. Then there is also an additional bill when hiring a personal trainer. Other gyms also charge for parking lots and utilisation of locker rooms.

    Then there is an issue of time and distance. An extra time to travel just to go to a gym requires a lot of effort, most especially for working people.

    There is also a question on the accessibility of the equipments. If there are a lot of people in a gym, there might be rivalry in utilising some equipments.
